ASSOC. PROF. DR. CHIN YIT SIEW

She is the Head of Community Nutrition Unit, Department of Nutrition, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). She is active in NGO professional bodies, whereby she is the Hon. Asst. Secretary of Malaysian Association for the Study of Obesity (MASO) and Council Member of Nutrition Society Malaysia (NSM). Her field of specialization in community nutrition has prompted research interests that include child and adolescent nutrition, nutrition education and promotion, behavioral nutrition and health, body Image, disordered eating and nutrition, early nutrition and allergic diseases. Her research interests are not limited to general population but also among marginalized population such as indigenous children and mothers, refugee children and mothers and children living in welfare homes, as well as vegetarians. To date, she lead 12 research projects that were supported by both private and public fundings, and supervised 4 PhD students, 16 MSc students ( 9 had graduated).

ASST. PROF. DR. TAN CIN CIN

She is an assistant professor of psychology in the College of Arts and Letters at the University of Toledo. Her primary research examines the development of children’s eating patterns and the role of parents in shaping children’s behaviors and adiposity. To prevent childhood obesity, her research seeks to discover knowledge to promote healthy eating in children and positive food parenting. In addition to examine the development of children’s eating patterns, Dr. Tan is also interested in examining weight attitudes, such as the role of body talk, or excessive discussion of body related concerns, in relation to heighten body dissatisfaction among older children.

DR. LIM POH YING

She is affiliated to Department of Community Health , University Putra Malaysia, where Dr. Lim is currently working as Senior Lecturer. Dr. Lim Poh Ying has authored and co-authored several national and international publications and also working as a reviewer for reputed professional journals. Dr. Lim Poh Ying is having an active association with different societies and academies around the world. Dr. Lim Poh Ying made his mark in the scientific community with the contributions and widely recognition from honourable subject experts around the world. Dr. Lim Poh Ying has received several awards for the contributions to the scientific community. Dr. Lim Poh Ying major research interest involves Biostatistics.

MS. WONG HUI JUAN

She is currently pursuing her Master of Sciences (Community Nutrition) in Department of Nutrition, University Putra Malaysia. Being nutritionist with 14 years of experience working in Ministry of Health, she is confident, self-motivated, all-rounded in assessing nutritional needs, and subsequently designing and implementing personalized nutrition programs for clients. She also went on TV show to discuss about infant and young children nutrition in TV2, TV3 and NTV7. Her passionate in empowering communities to achieve better nutritional status, especially by inculcating heathy eating habit among young children. She is also able to communicate complex information on dietary matters in an understandable form to patients. Being a International Board Certified  Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), she always promote, protect and support breastfeeding.

MS. NUR FATIHAH MOHD SUHAIMI

She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Sciences (Nutrition and Community Health) in Department of Nutrition, University Putra Malaysia. She is a final-year student in Nutrition and Community Health at Universiti Putra Malaysia. She currently working on her final year project on Parents Feeding and Child Eating Behavior associate with stunting. She works with Dr. Chin Yit Siew as her supervisor. Other than being a fulltime student, she also enjoy doing design and videography. There are a few videos that she already make during her intern and also vacation videos.

MS. NURUL AINA AMIRAH BT MHD ZAREEN

She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Sciences (Nutrition and Community Health) in Department of Nutrition, University Putra Malaysia.  Aina is ambitious and hardworking final year student that taking Bachelor Science (Nutrition and Community Health) at Universiti Putra Malaysia. She is interested in early human development nutrition topics that discover the first 1000 days of life. Outside of university, she went to many voluntarism activities and met children that have issues with nutrition. Her goal is to help people to live healthy by improving their nutrition status through knowledge of research. She enjoys learning about nutrition.
